Terms of service
The rules, in plain words.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
These terms cover philform: the browser extension, the service it talks to, the wallet you pay into and this website. By installing philform or adding money to your wallet, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use philform.
1. What philform does
philform fills in job application forms in your browser using a profile you enter, and drafts answers to written questions with the help of AI providers. philform never submits an application. You read what it filled and decide whether to send it.
You are responsible for what you submit. Check every answer before you send an application, and only submit information that is true. AI-written text can be wrong, and an answer phil was unsure of is marked for you to check, but not every mistake can be caught.
2. Your account
philform gives each installation an anonymous account, held as a random token in your browser. There is no name, email address or password. Anyone with access to your browser profile can use your account and its wallet, so keep your computer secure. If you delete philform's data or remove the extension, the token is gone and the account cannot be recovered, so contact us first if your wallet has money in it.
3. The wallet and payments
- Your first 10 applications are free. After that, each fill is charged from your wallet according to what it used, never more than 30¢ for one fill. A fill that filled nothing is not charged.
- You add money in amounts of at least $5. Payments are processed by Stripe, under Stripe's own terms; philform never receives your card details.
- Wallet money is prepaid credit for using philform. It is not a bank account, earns no interest, cannot be transferred to another account and cannot be exchanged for cash, except as a refund under section 4.
- Prices may change. A change applies only to fills after it is announced on this website, never to money already charged for a fill.
4. Refunds
If a payment went wrong, you were charged twice, or you have stopped using philform, email us within 30 days of the top-up and we will refund what is left unused in your wallet. If philform shuts down, we will refund every unused wallet balance that we can match to a payment. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights your local consumer law gives you.
5. Fair use
Do not use philform to:
- submit applications with false information, or apply in someone else's name;
- break the terms of a job site or employer, or flood employers with applications;
- get around the free-application limit, for example by making many accounts;
- call philform's service other than through the extension, resell access to it, or overload, probe or attack it;
- do anything illegal.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. If we close an account that did not, we refund its unused balance.
6. Your information
Your profile, saved answers and documents remain yours. You let philform use them only to fill the forms you ask it to fill, as described in the privacy policy. Text philform writes for you is yours to use.
7. Other companies
philform relies on TypeSafe and DeepSeek to read forms and write answers, and on Stripe for payments. Their services have their own terms, and philform is not responsible for them. Job sites and employers are not connected to philform, and their forms can change at any time.
8. Changes and availability
philform is a young product. Features may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We may change these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use philform after that means you accept it. If a change matters to you, you can stop and ask for your unused balance back.
9. No guarantees
philform is provided as it is. We work hard to fill forms correctly, but we do not promise that every field will be filled, that every answer will be right, or that any application will lead to an interview or a job.
10. Limits of liability
As far as the law allows, philform is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed job or an application sent with a mistake in it, and its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid into your wallet in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
